The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction (NFFR) supports the medical and psychosocial treatment of those with facial deformities by serving as the funding arm of the renowned Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (IRPS) at NYU Langone Medical Center. This team of world-class specialists rovides state-of-the-art treatment for 2,000 patients each year and offers the finest personalized and coorfinated team care, regardless of the severity or tyoe of condition, of length of treatment. 68% of the childrean at the Institute are Medicaid recipients, 5% of whom are uninsured.The IRPS has a multidisciplinary team of doctors specializing in plastic surgery, microsurgery, neurosurgery, otolyrangology, orthodontics, prosthodontics, ophthalmology, and genetics to treat many different craniofacial conditions. Newman Family Support Center

The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction founded the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in 1955 and continues to provide the financial support that sustains the Institute. In addition, NFFR assists the families of IRPS patients through the psychosocial counseling provided by the Newman Family Support Center and its family services and programs.
