- Dance for Medicine - April 11, 2005
On Monday, April 11, 2005, NFFR presented the Gala Benefit
DANCE FOR MEDICINE to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.
The evening featured a unique dance performance by Internationally renowned companies at New York City Center, followed by dinner at the Rainbow Room.

The NFFR thanks Gala Chairs Barbara Zuckerberg and Eileen Newman for their dedication and devotion to the NFFR, and Artistic Chairs Fiorenza Scholey Cohen and David Parsons, without whom this visionary evening would not have taken place.

At the dinner, the Institute Team was honored for its steadfast dedication to changing the lives of children with craniofacial malformations. A special award, presented by Dina Zuckerberg, a longtime patient of the Institute, was accepted by Dr. Joseph G. McCarthy on behalf of all the members of the Institute team.

Eileen Newman presented an honor to JUICY co-founder Gela Nash-Taylor for the company’s new partnership and commitment to the children we serve. Gela vowed the company’s continued support of the NFFR.

The evening also included a live ‘Changing Faces’ Auction where the brilliant Jamie Niven, a prominent Sotheby’s Auctioneer, helped raise $425,000 for the treatment of children in need of reconstructive treatment. When the evening was over, the NFFR had raised over $1.4 million dollars.
